Hi. I have two bits of music in my head today, and I have no idea whether I came up with them myself or have subconsciously stolen them from other songs. (I suspect the latter, otherwise I wouldn't be asking). Anyway I am posting them here in the hope that someone might recognise what songs they are from and put me out of my misery. Or, if they go unidentified I am going to keep them and use them in a song. Here we go:

C F Am G
e|--------------1-0-------------------|
B|-------1-----------------1-----0-1--|
G|---0-0------2----------2------------|
D|----------3----------2-------0------|
A|-3-----------------0----------------|
E|---------------------------3--------|

(fingerpicked acoustic)

second one:

e|------------------------|
B|------------------------|
G|------------------------|
D|------------------------|
A|-0-0---0---0-----2------| (repeat ad nauseam)
E|-----3---2---1-1--------|

(possibly stolen from Laura Veirs??)

Anybody?

[PS: there is no mars bar. I just said that to get your attention. You can't play the guitar with sticky fingers anyway.]

The Rolling Stones did. 8)

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

I think in the US it would be called a Milky Way Party. Since our Mars Bar had almonds in it.

I guess it all depends on what kind of party you want: Creamy or Crunchy.

martin-6,

I've never heard your two bits of music before, but it's hard to tell how you want those notes played without it being wrote in standard notation. The first one is all 8th (or 16th notes,) right? The second one would be?
