can't quite seem to put my finger on it, but sounds like a scale. do my ears betray me?

...and harmonics ..... and tapped arpeggios.... and percussion. Lots of everything and nothing particularly exciting really

The music he's playing is mostly coming from a single scale but, obviously, he's not simply navigating the scale up and down.

Andy McGee plays well....that person does not. Boring as hell waiting for half the vid. It's not new stuff.
Try Michael Hedges, Billy Mclaughlin, Don Ross, Preston Reed.....there are others......
