Well, you can all say "I told you so" or laugh or make any other sarcastic comments to this post. Seriously. Know how I said I don't like Les Pauls? Well guess what?

As soon as I heard the distortion that was crisp without being harsh, I had to have it. This one stays in my lap. All the other LP's were the ones with the thin bodies so they slid. This body is pretty heavy, so it stays.

Now, let the "I told you so"s begin. I deserve it, and you know you wanna.

PS. Excuse the mess on the floor.

Whats the brand? I can't tell by the headstock. It sure is 'purty.

It's an Arbor. Never heard of it until today. But I have a sound sample.

It's under LP Copy Sample. Due to technical difficulties, I'm unable to record clean at this time because of a hiss. Not sure where it's coming from.

Congrats and welcome to the club. My #1 axe is a Gibson CS336 with 1957 reissue Les Paul pickups. IMHO, the tone you can get from the HB pups is THE rock n roll tone. What amp? Any pedals yet? The Les Paul thru a Marshall with full tilt overdrive is awesome. I use a wah pedal, and sometimes phase shift, but usually it's just the LP pups screaming thru the overdrive. If you know a luthier or guitar tech you trust, ask him to look into seating, leveling, then crowning the frets. you can usually make the LP knockoffs feel and play as good as the custom shop product with a little fret work.

Will have to listen to the clip later - I'm having snags with my volume on my computer at the moment. It's maxed out and I can't hear anything. :?

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.

Considering just a month ago she said, "I don't like Les Pauls or SG's or Strats either. More so Les Pauls, the necks feel funny, they slide off my lap and they are boring to look at," I think she probably was looking at the Webster's Dictionary to check how to spell "mercurial," which Webster's defines as "characterized by rapid and unpredictable changeableness of mood."

Just messing with you....looks like a beautiful guitar. Enjoy!

Thanks all.

Played so much guitar today, I think my fingers are going to bleed.

I managed to get a heavy metal sound going through my RP50 on the rectifier setting which sounded great. Or the jet flange, mind you, I liked those settings with my Explorer. The action is super low, it's great.

I think I found the source of the clicking sound in my recordings though. I noticed while playing through a Marshall at the store the noise wasn't there. As soon as I plugged into a Crate which was the same model as mine, it was there. I liked the Marshall, if I had the money, I would've taken it too.

And Rahul, I was kidding about the "I told you so"

And is "changeableness" a word?
