I have been trying to learn the beginning (the whole song actually) for 3 Doors Down "Kryptonite". Does anyone play this song? I found tab on Chordie.com but it doesnt seem right.
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

B|--------------3------------------------------------------------------0---|

G|*---------4--------4---------0----------------0----------------2--------*|

D|*-----4-----------------4----------------0---------------2--------------*|

A|---2--------------------------------2--------------0---------------------|

E|-------------------------------3-----------------------------------------|

Bm G A/D
e|---------------------------------------------------------0---------------|
B|--------------3------------------------------------------------2---------|
G|----------4--------4---------0------------------0--------------------2---|
D|------4-----------------4-----------------0------------------------------|
A|---2---------------------------------2---------------0-------------------|
E|--------------------------------3----------------------------------------|

Any suggestions or does the tab seem accurate? Seems when it goes to the G chord shape it falls apart.

It's not right.

The chords are Bm, G, and A (although when it's picked - before the chorus - there's no C# note in it)

Try this:

---------------------------------
-------3-----------------------0-
-----4-----4---4-------0-----2---
---4---------4-------0-----2-----
-2-----------------2-----0-------
------------------3---------------

Hey thanks Noteboat but where it starts at the G chord just doesn sound like the recording to me. Particularly the open G string in the G chord. Does that make sense? I have listened to it over and again but I cant figure out where my ears thinks he goes.

I could be wrong though.

Thanks for giving it a go for me.

I'll have to check it out. Truth be told, the original chordie.com tab was good, atlest for the intro. I imported the song into audacity and slowed it down 25 to 50% and played it over and over again. I am still not good at the chord changes from the Bm to the G but I am getting better. Then I got sidetracked by another song, of course. 8) I'll be coming back to it.

yeah i was gonna change it to what noteboat had to, the tab is right

|Bm|Bm|G|A

a play this song every week, this tab is spot on

and although you can play a super simple 3 chord version of this song the actual song is slightly more complicated

Here's how I play it. The progression is Bm, G, Asus2. The chords are the same, but the picking pattern is different the second time through. Make sure to sustain the fourth note in the riff (D note on B string) to get the proper timing.

Bm G Asus2
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--------------3----------------------------------0--------------------0--|
G|----------4--------4---------0--------------0-------------------2--------|
D|------4-----------------4--------------0------------------2--------------|
A|---2-------------------------------------------------0-------------------|
E|---------------------------------3---------------------------------------|

Bm G Asus2
e|----------------------------------------------------------0--------------|
B|--------------3-----------------------------------0-------------0--------|
G|----------4--------4---------0---------------0------------------------2--|
D|------4-----------------4--------------0---------------------------------|
A|---2--------------------------------------------------0------------------|
E|----------------------------------3--------------------------------------|
