Okay, so after a month and-a-half of buying and returning a CP 60s Strat, exchanging a 2004 American Strat for a Mexican Strat and a Pro Junior amp, then returning that set up yesterday, I believe that I have found the one.

She is Daphne, a 1996 American Standard in Daphne Blue with a rosewood fretboard. I apologize for the bad pictures; they were taken with my cell phone camera. I will get better pictures later, but I just had to share this with you.

If anyone has the specs for 1996, I would be interested in knowing what they are.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim :D

Nice! 8) 8) 8) 8)

I've always liked that color with a rosewood board.

Sorry, I don't have the specs for that year....
It looks like it has a single ply pick guard....?
(Maybe it's just the picture quality)
It does have a modern bolt pattern in it - not a 50's style.

Just seems odd that it would have a single ply guard (Which I like better myself).

Are the pole pieces flat or staggered????
(Just wondering if they had switched back to staggered by then?)

A Pleasure to make Her acquaintance!
Thankx for sharin' :D

Glad you didn't settle and ended up getting an axe you love. Play her hard!

Nice vintage look. And if I remember correctly, isn't Daphne now owned by someone who holds a world record? Hope she sounds as good as she looks - cool and elegant.

Thanks everyone! I have tried to respond several times from home, but something must be wrong with my laptop, affectionately known as "craptop."

Vic, yeah she is now owned by a world record holder, but I am trying not to intimidate her with that. I don't want to put any pressure on her.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone for the kind words. I am working on getting better pictures of her, and my other gear. Hope to have it up soon.

Jim
