You will have 12 strings before.
Try 'Wish You Were Here' by Pink Floyd, for one example
Lots of the Byrds songs too, the 'jangly' sound is a 12 string
so i have heard one then...ok never realised i will dig out the pink floyd albums later and listen hard....cheers!!

sean it's the same way with a mandolin, there is 8 strings, but you play it as if was only 4.

I'll tell you this 12 string is SWEET! I picked it up today and it was still in tune! (Always a good sign!) The sound is awesome! I'll post some clips this weekend. I want to get new strings on it. Plus it nice because when I switch back to a 6 string it feels SOOO easy to play. I am hoping the 12 will make my overall playing better. It is tougher playing individual notes but the rhythms are amazing!

I think everyone here should print out Mike's posts so they can aquire as many guitars as Mike has less one. So when Mike purchases number 25 you can purchase number 24. (But Honey, I'm not that bad, look at this guy!)

The guitar looks very nice, great find. I'd love to get a 12 string in the future some time, I'm really starting to love the sound they produce.
cool......so you treat two strings as one then? that must sound pretty cool...can you take some recordings of it? ive never heard one played does it sound vastly different?
If you are a Radiohead fan (or even if not I guess) you can see (and hear) Thom doing a couple of solo acoustic songs on a 12 string at here (Street Spirit) and here (Nice Dream).
