Just got a nice little black Takamine EG-334SBC. Nice volume, nice action. Actually I was only taking my Washburn to the store for re-fretting, but made a "big decision" on the way...finally realizing my "band days" were long gone, and decided to sell my 1976 Strat, and 70's Sho-Bro, and just "jam" from now on, with whoever wants to. :D
Nicest guitar in the shop was a Larivee, but I wanted amplification from time to time, and couldn't see cutting holes in the Larivee for any reason.

Congrats on the new guitar. But I agree with the others on the Strat. I sold a Les Paul many years ago and wish I hadn't. Finally picked up a LP Studio this year.

Band days gone?? Say it isn't so Joe!

Are you this old?

Nah, nobody is older than this guy, and he's still playin' :D

25 years! I don't think I could go one year without buying a guitar ( I got four this year and an amp but then again it was my first year). Anyways I hope you sold those guitars to a worthy buyer, perhaps someone who will get lots of quality use out of them.

Guitarin' isn't a job, so don't make it one.

Thanks for the comments, everyone...the Strat & Sho-Bro are not quite "gone" yet...I just decided I may as well sell them, as they aren't being played any more.

Will take them to my retailer on a consignment-sale basis, when I go pick up the re-fretted Washburn.
I'll post up a link to his website when the units are in his store.

I'm 62...I don't look like Keith, but I haven't ingested what he has, either.

Hey OdNt43,

Congratulations on the new guitar, a friend of mine at work has a black Takamine and he loves it (don't know the model though).

Just in case the store didn't have it in stock, but Larrivee's do come built in pickups. The least expensive one is the L-O3E. Here's a picture of it:

The Larrivee's are my dream acoustic. When I can afford one, it will be my next guitar.
