I bought a new Ovation CK-047 (Natural Koa). It has its "plastic" moments when not strummed correctly, but all in all, it does sound really really good. And no, I didn't use this for my latest Guess That Riff. I will next time though. I

Here she is: :D

Finally, I got it off my chest! I hate tring to fool myself like the purchase never happened. Heck, even my wife doesn't care. She was there with me and we both agreed that it was the best sounding one there in that price range.

Here is the link for the specs.

Beautiful, though there is always something strange in Ovations. How is the oval body ?

Lets hear some soundclips now...

You play that?

I'd like to think so, others may not though.

Take that down, for the safety of us with no control.

You mean to say, take it down because you don't have any control.

How is the oval body ?

It feels really good. It's like it's contoured to my body plus, it has a non-treated area on the bottom so it doesn't slip off my leg. It works well too.

Lets hear some soundclips now...

My recording computer and I are at war right now. I've retreated to higher ground plotting my revenge. I'll see when the dust clears......

Things I've noticed so far with this guitar:

I couldn't find my tuner and forgot it had a built-in one. Yeah, I had a good laugh too.

The plastic's cold when you aren't wearing a shirt. Good news though, it warms up.

Neck isn't as wide. This makes finger picking even easier! NOT! I'm just use to a wider neck. I'm adapting though.

Tuners hold well.

Love the frets! :D

I have to lower the action, just a little. It's gets bothersome up the neck. I read in the manual that it has shims under the saddle so that's cool. It'll make that job quick and easy.

Oh yeah, ..........I still can't find my other tuner. :? I hope it's not still mad because I haven't been using it as much.

Thanks all! The picture doesn't do the finish enough justice. She shines! 8)

Nice looking top on that Ovation. Glad to hear it plays well. I had an Ovation Celebrity for a couple of years, but got ride of it because I could never get comfortable playing it for long periods. The thing killed my fingers! Wasn't as pretty as yours either!
