I have an esp lts mh-50nt and a fender champion 40 amp and I'm not getting the sound I want. It sounds pretty fuzzy. I also don't know good amp settings which doesn't help. Anyone have any tips on how to make my guitar sound more clean? I mostly play metalcore and gave been trying to get the guitar to sound as good as the studio version of the songs I'm trying to play.
If all you're using is what you mentioned here then you probably won't get the sound you want. the amp only has 1 speaker if I remember correctly and 2 would really help your tone. also add reverb to the distortion channel. effects pedals, try a bunch. your preferred tones will depend on your preferred style of music no one can really help you without more info.
When in doubt, I always turn the gain down a little bit. :)
If you have a more money to spend buy your guitar effects.
