New Guitar Day

I really, really want one of these; but seeing as how I just bought a new Gibson LP I won't have the money for awhile. :(

i'm not familiar with the Gibson guitar of the week program. what is it?

I believe it is just a promotional thing they are doing. Not sure for how long though. It is a limited edition and limited number and I suppose they only manufacter them for a week? Regardless, they only make 400 of them and when they are gone they are gone. First week was a SG Bass. Second week was a LP Classic (which is beautiful, BTW) and I guess the SG Silverburst is week three (although it isn't even listed on their site yet).

Really nice guitars. The LP classis is certainly stunning..the SG is also gorgeous

I got to spend around 5 hours playing it last night during my jam session.

All I can say is I have found my guitar! The neck is perfect, the action is perfect (had them lower it as low as it would go without buzzing), the pups sound perfect through my setup, it's light and isn't as neck heavy as I have read (balances just fine). I was smiling from ear-to-ear most of the night. I'm seriously in love with this guitar! :lol: I didn't want to stop playing!

We are about halfway done with a little ditty we are working on and my parts were re-recorded last night using the SG. When it's done I'll post it in Hear Here.

Always liked red SG's - hey, Angus wouldn't be seen without one! The white ones are nice, too - but that really is a gorgeous guitar. It sounds as good as it looks?

:( I thought you were just joking. I'd check EVERY mom & pop store around. Being Nashville I'd think at least one might have it?

Just for a teaser, here's a small clip of the SG. This is just a small mixdown sample I posted for my buddy to see what he thought of the mix. Personally, I love the tone (the SG is the rhythm guitar) I'm getting. The chain is: SG --> Boss MT-2 --> Deluxe Reverb. :D
