Hello Guitar Players!

I'm creating a site with ear training exercises, designed specially for beginner guitarists.

I would like to ask about your opinion about such a site. Do you think this is a good idea?

Is it allowed to place a link to the site here so you can take a look and tell me what you think?
(it's going to be a paid site, but rather inexpensive)

Yes, you can post a link to your site and ask people to comment, and they'll talk about it here.

You're welcome to post a plug in the Site/ Product promotion section, and we'll happily talk to you about paid advertising on the GN site - talk to Paul who owns the site.

Thank you for the answer.

So here is the site: http://www.plunkmaster.com

I'll contact Paul to talk about paid advertising.

Firstly, thanks for creating this site. It's really helpful to have one that just focuses on what guitarists need to know. (I'm sure that in playing around with your site for a few minutes, I've already improved what I can do ear-wise...looking forward to playing more.) I was going to offer a critique, but couldn't actually think of anything I'd say to improve.

Please can you either post or PM me a link to the Facebook page?

Thanks,

Shady

Take care,

Casey

I was playing around it a few minutes, too. It seems interesting although surely I wouldn't sign up.

All those exercises are always interesting.

Thank for your opinion. Of course there is more to come :-)

Why not? Are you to advanced for this kind of exercises?

Probably I'm not too advanced. I consider the exercises interesting and useful. I already use other similar resources online for free. I don't use every day. They are more than enough.

I signed up.

My ear training is horrible....like almost non existent. After 4 years of playing I would think I would be able to tell a G from an A...but the truth is I can't tell by ear. At all. I can tell Minor from 7th from Major, but not what it is.

I'll use this tool as long as it's not too repetitive.

The ONLY problem I see is that the choices are too few. When you do the Pick the two chords there is only one option that has the first chord correct....it would be nice if you had both chords incorrect, or the first right and the 2nd wrong etc.

That's my beef with any multiple choice though.

I will say that I probably wouldn't pay the $3 a month for it though...sorry.

In Space, no one can hear me sing!

I'm sorry, I think you should search for similar services. It should be part of the activities when opening a new site.

Good luck with your site.

I've found the easiest way to practice ear training is to associate an interval to an interval in a song or melody.

I would put some interval tests on there as well.
