OH NO! I like Pizza, I plan on getting a drumkit, and I have an Attic!

Actually, I plan on getting a drumkit so my rythym will be better on guitar... :) Plan on getting a bass too, for recording... 8)

I have a yamaha dd-50 ( don't tell anyone..oops)My music room is only about 10 by 12 feet, so not much room for a drum kit( got to save room for more guitars) I also use Hammer Head( free ware) but i don't do stuff that needs more than a simple beat anyway. I got a washburn bass for about $100.00 that works pretty good, I would think a squier bass would be good also. -the dog

Thanks mate, that's all the encouragement I needed.

Come on in and look around. :)

A couple of warnings first. The site was put up to show to my two brothers (who live in other parts of the world) and also a couple of friends who were interested in the whole business of building our own house. So there are:

a) Quite a lot of pictures showing all the various stages of building. ten or eleven pages, each with 5 or 6 photos. It all looks a bit rough at the start (which it was) E.g. lots of straggly trees in the early photos that have since been thinned out to allow the others to flourish. The pics are only around 50k apiece, but still could be a bit slow to load on an old modem connection.

b) A few frankly boastful pics (computers, guitars, car) - because nobody is harder to impress than your brothers.... :?

I did it all solo, except the electrical wiring and the mains water plumbing, which I was not allowed to do by law. The tin roofing is a traditional style in Australia, and is still popular, although it probably looks like a shed to overseas eyes. :)

Welcome to the Building Project

Chris C,

Really nice job. And you did this all yourself..how long did it take.

I see you have a cat that likes to sleep under the covers. I have one of those too.

Nice work Chris. I know it is back breaking work but so rewarding in the end.

Oh yeah, don't forget to put the container of milk on the kitchen counter away.
