There mare so many good players out there.......I like Robben Ford for his mix of economy, fire, phrasing, and accessible jazz inflections.I saw a video of Snowy White on another forum the other day playing a '57 goldtop, and he was sure 'nuff tasty.
Kim Simmonds from Savoy Brown has always been a favorite---Bugs Henderson too.

What about Gary Moore?

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Gary can play very nice touchy/economical blues when he wants to....so can Joe Bonamassa.

I saw Kim Simmonds with Savoy Brown last year at a small theater in South Carolina ( maybe 200 seats) He was as good as ever 8) 8) 8) Brought back a lot of memories :D --the dog

I've been watching Brian Setzer's set of video lessons for Total Guitar, and though he's a Rockabilly legend I think he's worthy of mention. The guy is phenomenal; he can practically make his guitar speak in seventeen languages at the same time.

Notice I didn't mention anything about being fast

Best,

Are they a 3 piece? Last I saw them,it was a trio (newspaper article).
That would be challenging.
I think the lineup on SCT was their best---and that band was a revolving door!

I think that John Mayer plays with alot of feeling---I know,he's the favorite whipping boy on guitar forums, but he can play. When I saw him on "Crossroads",I never knew he played electric so well.

Jeff Beck is still the king! He's always had incredible feel, and his style continues to evolve. Amazing.

Aye,Beck is a true innovator. No one works the trem like he does.
I have the Martin Scorcese DVD pack on the blues (about 6 DVDs),and there is some footage in there of some blues jams.Beck,Tom Jones (yeh, him),Lulu ('60s pop singer from England) and Van Morrison. Jones and Lulu simply explode vocally, and Beck is just sick on his parts. There is also some footage of Beck playing an archtop electric, and playing incredible stuff, almost jazz.
Tom Jones can still wail, and he can sing with passion.
