Hello everyone,
Can anyone recommend an excellent guitar teacher in Orange County, CA(like Fullerton area)?
There is place close by, I went in and spoke to the "best" instructor (ie. the one who charges the most) but the guy was such an arrogant and rude $^%*#@#$@ that no matter how good he is I refuse to go to him(its Mo's Music in downtown fullerton). There's also a Guitar Center nearby, but Im worried that they might have a factory mentality (pay first, then get you in 'n out)-charging you a lot but putting little effort back into it.
I want a teacher who is passionate about music, genuinely loves teaching and is good at it.
The best way to find a teacher is through word of mouth, I believe, so I would greatly appreciate your testimony and recommendation!
Thanks!
PS- I want to learn lead guitar(rock or blues, but with the final goal of playing Jazz)

My wife had the same problem finding a teacher, she tried 3 or 4 and they all wanted to show off what they could do instead of showing her what she needed to learn.
you might try http://www.craigslist.org and look under your city under the musicians listing, usually quite a few working musicians who also give lessons listed there

Immature? Of course I'm immature Einstein, I'm 50 and in a Rock and ROll band.
