I'm not familiar with the tune, but by taking a look at the notes in the intro, and knowing Santana's frequent use of minor-key flavors, I'm going to guess Amin, or A Dorian. At least that's what the transcription would seem to indicate.
If I get a chance to listen to it soon I'll repost with some more thoughts.
