I am struggling with this. Its simple chords, but I can't figure out a helf decent picking pattern.
Any of you play it, if you, how?

It's been awhile since I heard the song, but I seem to recall that it's based on a simple finger picking pattern...something like Thumb Middle Thumb Index, straight eigth notes.
does anyone know this? i'm struggling with it
I wish I could help. It was one of the first songs I ever learnt to play, but it was nearly 30 years ago. What are you having trouble with?
Regards,
Paul
Matt, what key are you playing it in? I play it in G, but I'm not sure if that's the original key.....
I had to work this song out a few years ago - daughter was singing it at school, and needed to practise at home - and I've never got out of the habit of NOT playing it.....still one of the first songs I play, great picking exercise. Tabbing it out might take a while....if you can find the original key, I'll try tabbing it out for you.
