In the song emit remmus by RHCP, at about 2:45, after the song gets quiet, John Frusciante makes his guitar scream and fade into feedback. I was wonder if anyone knows how the hell he does this, b/c it sounds so cool.

I have no idea but, if I were to render a guess I'd say he controls the feedback (crank amp, gains and such and walk up to the amp) with the volume knob.

this months guitar player has an article on johnf. shows you his pedals,he uses alot of toys.i'm not familliar with the new disc,but if the song is on it he explains what hes using for every song.check it out might help ya find what your looking for 8)

Yeah, thats a good article, but it kind of goes over my head as I am not tech savy with effects. But you should definately check it out if you can.
