Ibanez RG470 just didn't feel right. Now I caught between 2. The Ibanez RGt42dx and the Jackson DK2M. Both feel terriffic. Here are some positives the Jackson comes with Duncan pups already and sounds good, ibanez doesn't but they can be changed. The Ibanez RG has a through the body neck, jackson is bolt-on. Jackson's neck feels flatter might be me though. Does anyone have these for opinions. Jackson is 629 and RG is 699 not too much differnece in price. The jackson does come with a hard case.

If you don't mind used, try a used RG550. Ibanez re-issued them to virtually the exact same specs as the original: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ibanez-RG550-20th-Anniversary-Electric-Guitar?sku=512645

It's a great guitar but the original ones can be had for about $200 online.
