that thing looks ridiculous! I'd like to hear what kind of tone that things gets....sound clips played over midi don't tell you too much.
Guitarin' isn't a job, so don't make it one.
I would avoid this machinery just like i would avoid having a date with an(She) android. (Why these people didn't invent an automatic potty seat , they would have even got it patented   )
Can it shift positions? Don't seem to be wheels or tracks or anything.

And it has the same problem as most beginners. Can't strum
Super post....thanks.
Actually, I don't think this is anything new. With the same idea as a player piano, there have been player banjos back in the 1910-20's era. They were coin-op machines and sometimes had small player pianos attached that accompanied the banjos. I would imagine they used banjos as they projected louder than guitars. They used paper rolls to play the music, as opposed to this modern version that uses a micro-processor.
And then there was the PLAYER VIOLIN, called the Violano Virtuso....a whole other story.

Trapped at work and can't download, how does "flight of the bumblebee" sound?
Do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life...
Thats cool but its missing the key component .... SOUL.. as for the she(driod), ehh.. doesnt need soul.

Sounds okay, but not nearly close to the original piece or tempo.
I think the she-droid will replace women before a machine replaces guitarists... and personally, I'm looking forward to women with off switches.

Let me just state for the record that I am entirely opposed to women with off switches... oh wait... my wife is asleep .. I mean yeah... off switches
looks like it's playing my seegul.
I have to say that this looks extremely cumbersome, and I can only imagine how everything ends up playing (since I cant download things from work). Being a tech junkie I have to say that this looks like a fun idea, but being a(n amatuer) musician it really makes me think about something. Everyone does their own thing with music..thats what gives it warmth. No musician will be put out of business by this. Imagine a world with no improv. Imagine if every song was exactly the same every single time it was played. Imagine that there are no cover bands playing a song the way they feel it.
It just wont happen. It'll be a fun piece of technology, but nothing more.
Our songs also have the standard pop format: Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, bad solo. All in all, I think we sound like The Knack and the Bay City Rollers being molested by Black Flag and Black Sabbath.
