I love the sound Toots and the Maytals gets. One of the best reggae bands for sure. Whats the best way to get a sound like theirs? Say on the track Pressure Drop? http://www.myspace.com/tatm Oh, btw for alll you fans, they have a new album called Light Your Light coming out the 28.(Heard a bit already at my office in umgd) Check it out.

well, I don't think they had great guitars in the beginning. later on after the records started selling, maybe they were able to get nicely made guitars.
for the sound, tho, sometimes reggae boys had chorus. but I think it is all attitude. and whatever guitar ya got.

i havent listened to your sound clip, but there are a lot of upstrokes as well as palm muting in reggae. I play some, its not to difficult to figure out.
