but i think there should be some rules for chords and note intervals in a song. i want to know are there any special rules there? which chords or chords connection make song epic or scary or funny or happy or sad and...
are tehre some other elemnts? how can i have good information about those theories? thank you for helping
In general.....
major = happy
minor = sad
diminished/augmented = tension / emotionally unbalanced
chord progressions going up = building a feeling
chord progressions going down = resolving a feeling
tonic/root chord = feeling home / stable
the fifth chord = furthest away from home / strongest need to return to root chord

Another way to go about it.....Listen to a song....ask yourself how you feel....find the chords and use the progression in your song where you want the same feeling....chord progressions are not under copyright; neither are song titles for that matter.
