I put up this one yesterday
http://www.finn.no/finn/bap/object?finnkode=9006100

Letting go of my Epiphone ...

Thing is, I have this wonderful Telecaster. Therefore I almost never play the Epi anymore. Plus I've fallen in love with hollowbodies, pretty sure I MUST have something like Ibanez Artcore, ES295 / Casino or something like that.

Still I've gotten second thoughts.
NOK 2000,- is roughly half the price of a new LP studio. But, mine 1997 model looks so incredibly much better than the current studio IMO. Plus mine comes with a hardcase too. Is it too cheap? There was a guy calling today from northernmost Norway - 2000km away - he asked me to ship it straight away...
It isn't that much money either ($150-200), perhaps I should stack it under the bed, and tell Mrs that I've sold it. ...

I don't need it anymore, I don't need it anymore. But it is good looking, and plays good ... perhaps I should keep it. Still NOK 2000 is half the way to a second hand Casino ...

Help!
Just venting really

Guitars are for playing, not looking at, and you said you rarely play it.

You set the price and someone accepted. Honoring the transaction is the right thing to do.

You'll get over the remorse.

Let it go.

Thanks for the great support Jim! I really appreciated that

Do you have a Mrs who kinda indicates that you might as well stop complaining about electricity bills as long as you keep filling up the house with guitars?

Think this is basically a matter of legitimacy, moral and consciousness (sp?) - but please don't tell her that my next guitar will probably be twice as expensive

Are you interested BTW, think you will have to cover shipping costs :-)

Please forgive me Lars. I meant no disrepect. I used to have a wife to answer to on things like that. But truth be told I was low on calories and riding a mental high from a great weekend.

I DO seriously wise the best for you.

+1 on what Mitch said, although I do like looking at guitars too! :P

Mitch got it right. I think very rarely can you keep instruments and stuff that you don't use. I'm selling my amps, because I never use them, and being a student I could really use the $600 or so. I'm not selling my electrics though, becuase of sentimental value. Just like I could never sell my first guitar, but my second acoustic could go if the price was right.

Anyway, I think you should sell it unless it means something to you. No use it keeping it if you don't ever use it.

Mitch and Dan, one part of my brain (the rational one - is it the right side when I am left handed?) tells me you are right too! But.. never mind.

Jim - I know you're teasing. Since I noticed the use of past tense together with 'wife' : Maybe number of guitars is inversely related to the concept 'wife' (i.e many guitars few wives and the other way around)

There is one guy coming in two hours. The one that involves the post office is next on the list.
