Do any good guitarist that you know use semi-hollow guitars? As long as they dont play blues, country, or jazz yell it out. I just want to see what theres can sound like with whatever kind of pickups they have. Thanks
btw: i already know that one blink-182 guy used one....who else? thanks!
blah.
I've seen a couple of videos with some other bands similar to Blink - 182. There are several of those emo/punk/whatever you want call them type of bands.
It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!
The beatles?

"Life is either an adventure or nothing" -- Helen Keller
Ted Nugent!
Gibson Birdland
Scott
The Byrdland is a thinline hollowbody, not a semi.
Mark Knopfler trades off his Strat for a Gibby ES-335 -- but honestly, he still sounds like Mark Knopfler.
Nick Valensi of the Strokes, plays an Epi Riviera with P90s.
Kim Simmons of Savoy Brown ... ES 335
Dan Weise of Kill Hannah
He plays jazz, but almost always nasty and distorted: John Scofield on an Ibanez Artist semi-hollow -- nice axe
-=tension & release=-
Jason White of Green Day plays an ES-335 exclusively in live events.Distorted.
And B.B King with varitone.
Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother. I believe its a Gibson ES335 he plays. (although not exclusively - also uses a GibsonSG).

Apparently he also has a couple white strats he chucks around at shows.
"This is a public service announcement....with guitars!"
Pete Townshend. I just read an article in Guitar World that said he used a Gretsch guitar almost exclusively in the 1970s. It was a gift from Joe Walsh. He also played (and broke) dozens of Rickenbackers!
Brian Setzer also plays a Gretsch, I think. Definitely a hollow body.
Obviously, the Beatles.
Also, Tom Petty.
Alvin Lee of Ten Years After played a Gibson ES-335
And here is what he sounded like at Woodstock.

Sounds pretty awesome to me.
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
Ted Nugent!
Gibson Birdland
Scott
He'd be an interesting guy to spend an afternoon with, with all his war stories and guitars and aresenal of automatic firepower :D
"Contrary to popular belief, Clapton is NOT God. The prospect that he is God probably had a large hand in driving him to drugs and booze. Thanks everyone."
-Guitar World
I think John-Angus Macdonald of The Trews uses a hollowbody on occasion.
Weezer.
"A cheerful heart is good medicine."
Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother. I believe its a Gibson ES335 he plays. (although not exclusively - also uses a GibsonSG).

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
