Ive heard of a guy who plays slap guitar, but it may be like Kaki.
his name is Justin King. search Google.

lots of players TAP. that is becoming quite common. maybe you have hit on a new technique.??

yeah i'm familiar with king too, i like them both

although listening to some of king's stuff without watching him play is kind of "meh"

it's not a new technique--i've seen players do it (buckethead for one) but it seems like not many DO do it, so it's hard to find songs to learn

i guess i'll just have to apply techniques from bass over to guitar and work on it that way . . .

One of the recent magazines had a lesson on slap guitar - it's one I subscribe to, so it's either Guitar Player, Acoustic Guitar, or Frets. Just saw it in the last few weeks...I'm not at home, or I'd check.

Yeah, the new guitarplayer has it as a technique "lesson". Just like a pop-slap technique. Many funk guitarists I'm sure are familiar with it.

Thanks Dudes!
