I've already gotten all my gifts. I'll have to wait for next year to get a Les Paul :)

Here's the list of what I've gotten in the past two months though, all of which were chalked up to Christmas:

Line 6 Spider II (just to haul around and practice with)
Epiphone Valve Junior (just the head)
4x12 Fender stereo cab, which appears to be from the late 80s (to match the one I got for my birthday).
The Strat that CNJ had in swap meet (quite a bit early, but me and Sarah don't do a traditional Christmas)
A new single and a new 2x cab (I built them, but Sarah paid for all the materials and speakers)

Stuff on my list for the next few months:

TexMex pickups for my new strat
A new bridge for my acoustic restoration project
One of the pickup kits from Stewart MacDonald

Our songs also have the standard pop format: Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, bad solo. All in all, I think we sound like The Knack and the Bay City Rollers being molested by Black Flag and Black Sabbath.

I got no business asking Santa for anything this Christmas, seeing as this year I bought myself:

Vamp2
AKG Headphones
Ibanez bass
Bass amp
Squier 51
digital camera
video camera
cd/dvd burner
plus various cables, guitar books, CD's, etc

Hmmm, no wonder I'm broke.

Yes, I bought

a new pc
Zoom 504, 505 and 510 guitar multi-fx boxes
Zoom 2100 multi-fx and sampler
Zoom 506 bass multi-fx
Danelectro Metal, Overdrive and Flange pedals
Two wireless mics with base unit
Wireless clip-on mic that I'm going to try when recording my accoustic and classical stuff
Yamaha DD-12 drum machine

and my old job bought me a Korg AX10-G multi-fx box and amp modeller as a leaving present

so I've got no business expecting anything either, but I would like a nice new music stand that I can spread out a whole score on instead of holding it in place on my old stand with wooden washing line pegs.

Oh, yeah - and a Ferrari Testarossa - bet I don't get that

Best,

A :-)

Whoa?

I got what I wanted... A JOB!!!! YAY!!!!

All I wanted most of the year was to be able to a) pay my bills and b) not create any new ones.

Yeah Dagwood! Congrats! :D

I wasn't going to get anything else, but I did put in for a EHX Small Clone chorus pedal in the '51 forum group buy.
Hmmm ... might get something else between now and the 25th. :)

Congrats, Dagwood! Good news.

Guess we should remember to appreciate our jobs a little more, huh? Necessary evil that they may seem....

Well I got a job for christmas too!

Anyways, my girlfriend bought me a guitar case for my acoustic, and gave it to me early (she had no where to hide it she said).

On the wishlist:

Mesa/Boogie Stiletto Ace or Lone Star Special
A strat or les paul copy

Some skills.

Merry Christmas Dagwood! So glad for you. :D

Hope a good job comes around for you too Chuckster.

When I was a boy we would always go to my great-grandparents house. They were really nice and had a beautiful home. My great-grandad had a beautiful grandfather clock that I will always remember. But every year we would get the same present, one pair of socks.

I was a little kid then and didn't appreciate those nice warm socks they always gave us. Now that I live in the Northeast I appreciate warm socks a lot. And I miss my great-grandparents. Christmas always brings back memories like that.

That's cool. Good luck with the new job. And no sneeking out to the stores when you should be working.
