Well lately I have been looking for a song with a fun lead and a cool little solo to play, but it's not incredibly hard to play either. I have been searching and can't find any. So if anybody has any thoughts about a song that fits this criteria please post it for me. I'm mostly into classic rock and blues, but I'm open to any kind of music.

well for the best lick intros anywhere I look to Keith Richards.
he is the best for starting a song.
I really like "Start Me Up" and "Looking For A Friend"...but my all time fav is 'Can't You Hear Me Knocking".
and if you have a sax player friend then the long break is a marvelous treat.
just an aside...two years ago when I was in a band during a break I played the into to that song. the boss and lead singer jumped on it and wanted to put it into the set.
I refused because we had no sax player...essential in my mind.
well, he came up with a sax player who loved the song as much as I did.
we did a quick run through. I was in heaven.
the next night at a gig the singer gave me the nod to start the song. away we wnet. when the sax palyer walked on stage for his part we blew the crowd away....mistakes and all.
so check out the Rolling Stones for some songs.
I'm a sax player too.
I just play in my school band :?
evolution, then you should know Bobby Keys sax work for the Stones. just awesome stuff.
blackbird.
it doesn't exactly fit your description but it's fun to play and not all that hard. plus there's a lesson here on it.
I have been working on Beatles' "If I needed someone" lately. The guitar part isn't that advanced, but it takes some work to get the rythm down. I haven't written it down but there is probably a tab somewhere. I play the riff around D-shaped A and G on the 9th/7th fret.
If you have two more singing friends it might sound great! - start off on A C# and E and go ahead :)

If you're familiar with Sublime, "What I Got" is a fun little tune to play. The lead part is very, very simple - you can either play it with both chords (ha!) or do the individual picking, and the little solo/riff thing at the chorus sounds a lot more complex than it really is. OLGA.net has a couple of great tabs for it, it's worth checking out in my opinion. :)
Voodoo Chile is what you want. Every one will love you if you play that!!!
