Odd that I feel the need to buy another guitar even though I can't really play the one I have now... .
Welcome to the club :-)

In this picture the screws are dragonflys. That is so cool. Where would I find screws like that?

All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.

They appear to be caps, fitted onto the screw-head.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Here's a shot of the "51"s.

It's almost impossible to get both my kids practicing at the same time, especially for a photo.........

I understand the point of a pickguard but if one were to take it off completely, in this case a new guitar player, can you get away without having it and not scratch up your guitar finish? I'm debating somehow cutting mine down or not having it at all. The only thing I think about it the pickups not being covered...thanks!

Is that the Epiphone Low-watt tube amp? Is it good? It looks nice, but five watts is not a lot of power.

Used to be, was a part of me felt like hiding.. but now it comes through. Comes through to you.

Thats the Epiphone valve Jr. I have the Valve Jr head going through a 12' speaker and can keep up with a drum set NO PROBLEM  5 watts of tube power is a different animal than 5 watts solid state  In fact if you want to play it loud enough to get a nice natural tube distortion in a small room you will need an attenuator  This thing has tone to the bone 8)

I like the Valve Junior a lot. I live in an apartment, so 5 watts is plenty. I cranked it up a couple times and does it sound good. I love that tube crunch, and it's plenty loud for me here. At lower levels it is clean and nice. I have had it for only about a week and think it's money well spent.

After an 18 year break, it's good to be getting back into guitar

If you play a guitar it will get scratched , dented, dropped, and used to block an occasional beer bottle on a Saturday night when your playing at the local dive  I have never worried about my guitar getting scratched or dented, its like a car...if you drive it its going to get some dings and dents. ...ken

Eirraca,

You can take the pickguard off and leave it off if you want. Mine is off now and it looks pretty good, but its only off until I decide which pickups to put in it. Plus if you scratch the finish just put the pickguard back on and it will cover the scratches.

I've been loving my sunburst, and waiting for guitar fetish to release pick guards. There is alot of things I want to buy from guitar fetish but I figured I'd wait for the guards to come out to order everything at once.

Any one have any word on these?? I remember hearing they were coming mid January, but...?

I can't wait for someone to say something worth quoting here...

Thanks guys :) Maybe I'll take it off and try to fill the holes with something clear, perhaps like super/crazy glue. I have a boyfriend who has a steady hand with that type of stuff, just the trick!

I'm planning to get a black pickguard for my sunburst, but was wondering about the pickup cover? Where are you guys getting the black pickup covers from? It's not part of the pickguard is it? I think the white one right in the middle of a black pickguard would look bad.
