$99 Miracle Cure
After barely touching my guitars for the better part of 3 years, I got caught up in the 51 hype.
I'm very pleased to report that since it arrived, I'm back to playing on a regular basis. I'm even starting to get some callouses back!
I must admit that I spend more time with my acoustic 12 string than the vintage blond (that my wife called yellow!), but I've never played electric before and it's going to take a little time learning some new tricks.
I am taking some lessons with my son's teacher to learn a new style.

I wanted to learn to play guitar really badly and I think that I have succeeded.

Madscience,

That 51 is looking great. You're right, the color doesn't look too Tangerine. Looks cool tho.

Has anyone seen this link with more Fender Custom Shop 51s.

Heres my fav.

Thanks to all for the compliments on the '51

I was actually expecting a Tangerine, The Krylon can said "Tangerine" but I think I'm actually happier with this color.
Personally I like the old school type colors, TV yellow, Daphne Blue, Fiesta Red, etc... So to me Pale colors are Old school Fenders. After seeing this one I wonder why Leo never
painted anything Peach. I think it would have been a hot seller.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to everyone. I'm really pleased at how it turned out. I put enough clear on it that a Mac truck could drag it down the road
without scratching the paint , I Hope .

Most of the Ebay auctions I've seen have been for Squier 51's for $100 - $125 a pop. I would expect that the overall price to rise on these slightly as the blowouts are over. I would expect them to fetch $150 on the bay...

It is my first guitar; after hearing so much about them I figured I couldn't go wrong. Even though I'm still just learning notes/chords, I am really enjoying it. :D

I got one of the lst burst from MF about 2 weeks ago. Had to lower a little but other than that, I'm very pleased. Plays and sounds great. I think if I replace the factory strings I may like it better. I'm green to electrics, any suggestions for strings?

Thanks
