I'm planning on getting some Tele knobs with set screws for my 51. I'm hoping that they will fit, anyone know for sure???

Also I ran across this on the 51 forum. A school teacher got this from his students, probably the best gift they could give him. SUPER COOL!

My dad would always talk about retirement, and allude to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And I say all you've got at the end of the rainbow is death. You're riding the rainbow right now. - Mark Borchardt

I can check when I'm back home later this week. But IIRC, the set screw knobs don't center well on split-shaft pots such as those on the '51.

110 is about as good as I've seen
though it is in effect double what the Americans pay! :(

I tried the 51 last week. Pretty good especially for the price
but I can't decide whether it is the
"poor mans Tele" or "the Poor mans Strat".

The question is would you gig with this guitar?

Which fender amp sounds best with it?

I was going to order one, I really was. But then my SG gave me an evil look from the stand next to me and I decided against it :P

Ewan McGregor: I said, "Eve, I want you to look after my wedding ring while I'm away," and she started to cry and I said, "Eve. Eve, I can't wear my ring or I won't get laid on the trip!"

I think its both :D I find its very versatile. With a good set up and some power slinkys this thing rocks. No reason not to gig with it IMHO
I don't have a fender amp, but mine sounds very nice with my Epi valve amp.

In addition, I need to update a new picture... I bought a Lite Ash Tele neck (not Bish's!) to pop on this to dress it up. Wow... 22-frets and fits like a dream. Intonates perfectly. Adding the 22nd fret is nice. I did have to cut the pickguard slightly to get it to fit, though. I'll take a new picture shortly.
