I've got the AC30 model and am going to get the Classic Rock one as well. They are great for what they are and with the portability you can play in the backyard etc. as well as keep the peace at home.

I sometimes plug my computer's speakers (with sub-woofer) into it and the sound is not too bad.

I having a tough time deciding whether or not to fix my little Vox VR15 practice amp which has a headphone output or just get something like this.

Opted for a new Peavey Viper 15w. Transtube kinda amp. Haven't even unboxed it yet. I give you a review a little later.

Guess its too late, but I have the classic rock version, and I think it's pretty great. I have it for just quiet practice, or travel. I took it on a little road trip with my guitar, and when I was stopped, I ran the headphone out into my car stereo and just played right through that. Sounded real good too!

It's never too late for a review. I played one of those at GC, pretty cool for what it was. I may just pick one up for trips like you used it for, never thought of that.

I opted for the little peavey for a few reasons. It was only $99.00. It has a tube pre amp, it had modeling.

The little Peavey locked up on once. May have been my fault as i was checking all the feature and may have put it in a mode not described in the manual. Sounds good and has lots of features. I was playing it with the Epi LP. One of the most important features was the headphone in that kills the external speaker for quiet practice.

I like it, it's a keeper. Now the big Peavey Valve King can go in for a warranty repair(High gain input bad).

That info is certainly missing from their specs:

I stand corrected. Only 2 of them have tubes, the 60 and 120w. Still a nice litte practice amp. GC has them listed under tube amps.

Thanks for the info; I've been eyeing the Classic Rock model for days I can bring the guitar to work and practice during lunch.

That's the value of the amPlugs: they are about the size of a cigarette packet so you stick them in your pocket or the little compartment in your guitar case. Plug in your earbuds or headphones and away you go.

I stand corrected. ...

I didn't mean my post to read like one from the forum police dept, Sid. :( I was just excited by the idea of a new, small valve amp on the market and was disappointed in finding it was just a transtube model.

Hi, all.

This is just a casual question, but has anybody had any experience with these and electro-acoustic guitars?

(That's what I play mainly- I play electric maybe once a week.)

Take care,

Can't help you on that one, Shady, as I haven't had my electric acoustic out of its case this year. If I get time in the next few days I will check it out.
