Ok... not looking for resolutions here, but rather what you'd like to accomplish, with regard to guitar, in 2007. I'll give it a go...

-learn 5 new songs
-grow proficient with regard to barre chord changes
-fully understand the fretboard relationship between notes
-participate in an online jam on GuitarNoise.

My #1 goal is to get much better at reading music - specifically on the bass clef. I'll be going through the Hal Leonard bass method books, which start out with no tablature. For the later parts which do show tab, I plan to keep the tab covered up and use only the standard notation.

My #2 goal is to teach my son to strum. He is 14 months old, and he will climb into my lap any time I'm sitting on the floor and playing guitar. He can hold a pick and pluck a string or two, which brings a look of pure joy to his face! Then he eats the pick. I gotta get him over that hurdle first. He's very good at muting the strings though. ;)

Write more songs of higher quality in more genres and have my second album done at the end of 2007.

I made this really long list... but for the sake of this post it comes down to:
1) Finish the books I'm working on (Blues You Can Use, Modern Method for Guitar 1, and the ear training book)
2) Play an open mic with a few original songs and a few good covers

1. Work with a drum machine to improve my timing, it is really bad now.
2. Paint atleast one of my cheap strat bodies and maybe one of my 51s too.
3. Do some recording and editing.
4. More organized practice.

Then he eats the pick. I gotta get him over that hurdle first. The one after that will be putting the pick into the soundhole every two minutes. Trust me. Made worse by the fact that this is my guitar
