I'd imagine the Squier basses would be not bad for that sort of price range?

thanks for the link i've had a look, there are a few nice basses there i might have to try some of them out :)
and that is true about bass players being wanted more for a band than guitar and it's always handy i suppose to know how to play the two of them thanks for your help :D
