Kind of a repeat, but always interesting to hear what others are up to.

I've been concentrating the last few weeks on:

Gimme Shelter
Mellisa
Mr. Jones (counting Crows)
Curtis Loew

Are you doing Curtis Loewe the way it oughta be, in Open E with a slide?

I've dug out my standard tuned Washburn flattop and flatpick. Started off looking at some online bluegrass lessons, noodled around aimlessly in G a while, found most of "Dueling Banjos," the last few minutes I've been figuring out some of the Allmans' "Stormy Monday." Got a long way to go.

No, I'm doing the standard tuning. It's what was in my book.

That is so odd, I was just thinking of digging that thread up again.
Right now it is:
Your Song-Elton John (fingerstyle arrangement)
Crazy on you-Heart
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You-Zepplin
Little Drummer Boy-lesson from this site in drop D
I will be starting on You've Got a Friend (fingerstyle arrangement from guitarforbeginners.com website )soon

Carol Of The Bells - fingerpicked arrangement

Miracle Drug - for solo acoustic (my own version inspired by lots of different tabs for the song)

That's all I'm learning right now. For the most part I've been making up my own stuff.

I've been working on my scales....I have always known bits of them but now I'm learning them up and down the fretboard and really getting to know them. I've also been working pretty hard on ear training.

No songs in particular though at the moment :p

I am not really working on any specific songs right now...I sometimes fool with a few when noodling but not really "practicing" them...

However, I am working on the Blues in general, working on the style and the skills...I am hoping that these skills will transfer over to the songs once I start with them again...The bluesskills I am working on include:

Shuffle
Soloing
Boogie
Also the rock-n-roll shuffle

I would like to start the 12 barblues using chords but I need to figure out how the rhythm works?

Songs I have recently started (within the last 3 weeks) include:

You're Not Alone Tonight - Keith Urban
Over the Hills and Far Away (intro only) - Led Zeppelin
Night Moves (strumming & chord changes) - Bob Seger
Shooting Star - Bad Co.
Memories Of Us - Keith Urban
Jeans On (Rock-n-Roll rhythm only) - Keith Urban

There are others I started a while ago but I haven't really tried to "complete" them because there are over my head (as some of theseare as well!)
