They say only a pawnshop guitar can play the blues. An eBay one does it better. A guitar's bound to feel unloved if her owner plasters pictures of her over the internet for all to see and then sells her off to the highest anonymous bidder.
Things im working on:
My own composition - Its a classical peice, but on electric with distortion, for two guitars
Tender Surrender - Steve Vai
Also been playing Juice by Vai and some Van Halen...Was working on Cliffs of Dover (eric johnson) but couldnt bothered, it got too compicated lol :?
Been workin on the solo to Sweet Child O Mine, the fast run really takes practice. Also various Gilmour solos, I'm really trying to get the phrasings right as to improve my abilities as a lead player
I just had all of last week off of work for the holiday so i got some serious guitar time in. It was nice.
Right now I am working on.
Hurt- Johnny Cash using the GN lesson. Pretty much got it down pat now.
Sunshine of Your Love- Cream
Night Moves- Bob Seger
Paganini's Fifth Caprice in A minor- A lesson by Yngwie Malmsteen that was in Guitar World a few months back. Fun little piece to play
Time in a bottle (almost have it)
Texas Vaugn blues (little brother lesson)
Tears in heaven
solo for Folsom Prision Blues
Cheers,
Max

I am actually using a tab I found on the internet. I think from Guitar Tab Universe. It seems pretty close to me but right now I dont have a copy of the song to listen to so I am kinda going off memory. I was screwing around the other day with chord progressions and I was going back and forth from G to Fmaj7 to C and I was like...hey that sounds like night moves kinda so I looked it up and started to learn it. Check that tab out and see if it is what you have.
At this particular time I'm working on:
"Ain't No Sunshine" - Eva Cassidy's fingerpicking version (it's way cool!)
"Girls With Guitars" - Written by Mary Chapin Carpenter, performed by Wynonna (electric)
"Back On The Chain Gang" - Pretenders
And on Mandolin:
"Mandolin Meltdown" - I don't know who did it originally
"Wildwood Flower" - I do believe that this one was written by the Carter Family

In technique, I'm mostly working on falling more naturally into some odd extended chord forms I don't use very often.
I'm also working on arranging a Bach cantata to perform next month, and listening to an awful lot of T-Bone Walker, breaking down some of his riffs.
