I'm looking for a solo to play for a talent show. I'm self-taught and have been playing for about 14 months, so I'm probably not very skilled, but I'm capable of playing songs like Metallica's Master of Puppets, Tool's Vicarious, and I can kinda play Van Halen's Eruption. I don't have a whammy bar, and I can't guarantee that I'll have a band behind me. The talent show doesn't allow performances longer than 3-4 minutes. I'm looking for a song that has a similar style to Metallica, Iron Maiden, or Tool. Does anyone know a good guitar solo that fits these criteria?
