I ust saw this on eBay...a Fender Squier Goldtop Electric Guitar M-77 LP. I never seen a Squier LP before and was curios if anyone had?
Thanks
*winces at the shape* Isn't it amazing how just a little difference can make or break a shape like that?
(I haven't seen one BTW, just had to have a look :))
Judging from Harmony-central sometime around 2003. The squier m-series is usually faily good though I hadn't seen the LP version before.

Isn't it funny how it looks just a LITTLE bit too wide... you are right, a few alterations can vastly change the overall appearance.
No idea how or when they made these. Looks to be relativey new??

MMMmmm. Not too sure about that at all. :?
It doesn't look at all right. It seems to be neither one thing or the other.
I'll pass on that one I think.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
These (and other models) were sold under their original name until Fender bought the company out - they were originally Guilds. They were relaunched under the Squier banner soon after that.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Yeah -- really too bad Fender bought Guild. The acoustics are not the same; now the electrics will be down marketed. That Squier shape is the original shape of the Bluesbird, considered by many a very good LP-type guitar. The shape changed later on, but still is very distinct from the Gibby LP.

I've played one from 2002. It was really nice.

Like nails on a chalkboard almost. I bet that's what a les paul would look like if I tried crafting one from scratch.
