My daughter loves this song, so Ive been working on trying to learn it. I just cant work out the finger pattern. Ive even watched the video that the singer put up on youtube, about it,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyesL-H4Lp8

maybe im a bit of a moron... but I still cant make heads or tails of it. Maybe because you cant see whats going on with the bottom strings.... Anyways can someone with a much better ear then me help me pick out what hes doing with this picking pattern? Thanks for any help

Hey there, that's a nice piece. this is fingerpicked, i didn't watch the video you posted but i heard the song instead. Wrote the tab for you. Assuming the intro is just repeated throughout the whole song, that should be all of it. http://imgur.com/sJ2venP

Thumb will always play on the fifth and 4th strings. index on the 3rd, middle on the 2nd.
If you need help with the timing let me know and i'll send you a gp file ( As long as it's allowed here ). On the 3rd bar he starts a C Shape which isn't extremely common as it's awkward to play, if you find dificullty playing that, capo the 4th fret and play the same thing and instead of the open A String at the beginning of the 4th bar you'd play the 5th fret on the 6th string. ( there's a good chance he's capo-ed it as well ).
