For me it was Greensleeves/What Child is this. I play it hybrid pick style. I play the bass notes with my pick held between the thumb and forefinger and play the rest of the notes with my other fingers. It works for me

I have no idea what my first finger-picked song was, its pretty much all I play though really. My favourite non original would have to be "It Dosen't Matter Anymore" by Eva Cassidy. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

HORS...its a natural. I like finger picking but I just like to play around with it at this point. I stopped the song thing in favor of practicing techiques
