Hey [email protected], how are you finding your Vox amp. I only ask as I was cosidering getting the 30watt version for jamming at friends houses and my Line 6 and Ashdown are too b****y heavy to carry around.

Be excellent to each other & party on dudes!

yeah. you're not kidding...it depresses me. i don't really have a whole lot of choice in the matter though. my uncle gave me the guitar, but he recently passed away. now my aunt wants it back to give to my cousin so he can "learn how to play". i've tried to explain that it is a collector's piece and not something to be learned on, but she isn't having it. this guitar is almost mint too. there is a small scratch on it. no finish checking whatsoever. the only things are that the pickguard and tuners are not original. i have the original tuners sitting with my misc. guitar stuff, but i never got the pickguard. sad to see it go...even if it wasn't one of the most collectible, it is still a beautiful instrument.

Its awsome, it has great tone. I hav pretty much found my perfect lead tone on it (with and without using the DS-1). lol I wont promise you that of course, cos everyone's ideal tone is different but there's soooo many sounds you can get with this amp you will certainly find several that u like. The on-board effects are good quality too, it good that you can adjust the settings of each. It doesnt come with the footswitch so see if you can get it thrown in, obviousy a nessecity unless your gonna use a pedal for dist/overdrive.
I wouldnt trade it for anything really, unless it was something real special! Go for it, i'd say

BTW, it's actually just a plain stereo two button switch. You can use any of those type footswitches, you do not have to buy the Vox one if you have an old Marshall or generic laying around.

This may be an abnormal place to post this but.....

I've almost always had two accoustic drum sets and last year I traded my Ludwig Rockers without cymbals or the black toms,

in for

Since I only have this

at home (for studio work) I've missed having an accoustic kit around the house to play.

I rejoined a road band I was in last April '05 and purchased a PDP series kit for gigging.

It's been a good reliable kit and has served its purpose.

Since I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a second kit that will just sit around the house and amuse me, I decided to see what kind of value I could find. This is what I came up with.

I ordered the Black Forrest Cherry.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/document?cpd=0OEY&doc_id=99371&g=perc&base_pid=449725&index=1

I also wanted to try some new cymbals and went inexpensive there, too. I purchaced an "S" series Wuhan cymbal pack consisting of a 20" ride, 16" crash, 14" hats and bonus 10" splash and cymbal bag for $190. A comparable Zildjian set would cost at least $500 or more.

Everything is here today and all I can say is... :D 8)

I am putting it together. This set is awesome for the money. These pictures do NOT do it any justice. The color is way deeper than what the flash did to them.

The quality compared to price for the same thing in PDP (my other kit) isn't there. These are such nicer drums for the same money....ah - mazing. :D

Here's the first drum to see daylight since being boxed up.

Here's everything unpacked but barely assembled.

Here's everything put together.

Here's another angle.

Here's with my Wuhan cymbals. (And one Zildjian Titanium)

Here's from the front.

Next I'll be tuning them and hopefully pull off a slight demo for you guys.

Bish
