I'm hoping to scrape enough money together this summer to get a Tascam recorder, a nice Shure condenser mic and replace the Epi with a Gibson. I'm happy for now, but I'd like something that's like me - old enough but getting better with age. ;)

Henry Garza, Saul Hudson, and Darrell Abbott could not be here tonight, but they all had sex and are proud to announce the birth of their two-headed baby, Rodya S. Thompson.

Nick, I like the golf story, very funny. I understand the desire to tweak things. I did it when I was riding bike, and as I remember, my wife would say, just ride the damn thing. I get it.

Re: everyone's helpful comments about gear, etc.

I've been surfing the web for looking for some new guitars, etc. I've come across some very very nice stuff, but I'm really looking to find a good online specialy store because going directly to a guitar store doesn't work for me at all (I live too far from anything, so I can never find a store, and when I do, no one knows what the hell they're talking about, or they're just trying to sell me with bs). Any website suggestions? ... I ask for a lot of suggestions..... hmm.

Carvin guitars are online-only, so they are a good place to start. A bit pricey though.

Some stores have decent online services (Sam Ash, Guitar Center).

Musicians Friend and Music123 are the best known discount stores. I have no opinion of either.

And of course, eBay...

Good Luck!

I can vouch for Carvin as I bought my guitar from them. Great service and a 10 day trial period for a full return. I have bought from musicians friends with good luck, but for accessories not the guitar.

Fender 62 reissue
Line 6 Duo XL
Takamine G series electro acoustic
Jim Dunlop 535Q Wah

Just bought a Cort MGM signature in blue

I love the sound this guitar has when you pop the coil tap ( its not quite the single coil tone you get from a Strat. Its sort of in between single & humbucker). Fantastic tone.
Cort guitars really do offer value for money. (imho)

Be excellent to each other & party on dudes!

Take pics, scan them, upload them somewhere and post links here to the pics. Use the ['img][/img] tags.

The easier way is just to type out the address (or copy and paste it) and then highlight the address and press the Img button.
