It's the same old question: "Which came first? GAS or GN?

Finally bought my first electric the other day at GC.
Tacoma DM9 acoustic, with K&K Pure Western mini transducer system.
Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS, Rosewood fingerboard with sunburst finish.
I bought the Fender friday, then took both electric and acoustic in for setups Saturday, and wow. Especially on the acoustic, the lowered action is a dream. A form barre chords used to be really problematic for me, and they're a breeze now. The playability on the strat is fantastic, and even through the crappy Fender frontman amp I'm renting, the difference in sound between the new strat and the squier I've been borrowing from my cousin is ridiculous.
Now to find a real amp. And take some pictures.

Congrats on the new gear, Sam. :D

"I play live as playing dead is harder than it sounds!"
Yeah, congrats! I have always loved the deep tone of tacoma acoustics.
My trusty Tacoma DM9 acoustic:
My 3 week old Fender Standard Strat:
My brother's brand new Gibson LP Studio (Just got it set up today. I prefer the neck on the strat, but my god the tone...Doesn't look too bad, either.):
A closeup of the LP, since it's so fine:
Group shot:
Another shot of the electrics and my Vox DA5 practice amp. Hopefully this won't be my only amp for long. Once I'm ready to play with the big boys I will be ready to shell out the cash for a Fender Hot Rod.
Now to get this stuff back to school...

Awesome gear! That Strat looks dirty already! Keep playin'...

"If the moon were made of ribs, would you eat it?"
Very nice guitars.
Nice collection!
By the way, are you not happy with the Vox DA5? The other day another member was asking for it and finally it got one. I'm considering to buy it as well.
The Vox is absolutely fine. Very happy with it, for what it does. I'll be using it to practice in my dorm with headphones, and jamming along to songs on my iPod through the aux input. The size is such that I can bring it back and forth to school, the effects are pretty good (identical to those on the valvetronix line), and I prefer the tone selection to that available on the Roland Microcube. But I'm still in love with those Fender cleans and blues overdrive tones. Once I'm good enough to start a band I want me some old fashioned vacuum technology!

Thank youy very much! :D

Nice Fender and Gibson on those picture!
My gear is:
Accoustic Takamine G Series (bought 170$ or something like that, but it still a Takamine! I still love it)
Electric Ibanez SZ520QM Lapid Blue Burst
I play this one on a VOX Valvetronix multi-effect 15W Amp
And my other one, a cheap electric guitar... Avion, Greg Bennett, that I want to sell. I played this one on a Vox Amp also, Pathfinder model, 15W, with no effect...

clau20- do you like the vox amp? im considering getting a new amp next year and i am considering a vox.
Very nice looking Ibanez, Clau! I looked very closely at an SZ720FM when I was buying a couple months ago, it was very sweet to play and sounded great. And yours looks way cooler. :)
