That's another nice set of skins, Bish.

musica - that Ibanez looks really pretty. I did try it,a long witha whole host of others, but my heart was firmly set on my EW20WNE, so......

If I recall correctly, that one may have had a bit of a weird sound to it, but in a good way - like it had a very percussive, almost resonator sort of sound to it. you wouldn't confuse the two, of course, but if memory serves me well, it was edging towards that end of the tonal palette (at least through an amp anyway, thanks to the annoying kid playing a horribly distorted version of Cream's back catalogue when I was trying guitars). very distinctive sound and, depending on what styles of music you/your hubby play(s), possibly a very good addition. I imagine blues and country music would sound very good on it. if not, it is still both cheaper and prettier than a piece of contemporary artwork......

Well, the Ibanez is due here on Monday, so we'll just see if my hubby knows something I don't (about ordering without seeing, playing, etc.)! He definitely got a great deal on it - half off - but I'm still skeptical...and very happy to welcome any sort of new musical instrument into our family!!! :D :D :D

One thing that amazes me, is how everyone has a completely different collection of kit, as in some people have loads of guitars but not much else and others have gone pedal crazy.

Just... seems odd... to me?

I'll get an updated pic soon...

-Epiphone G400 Limited, polar white with EMG's.
-Epiphone Casino VS with a Bigsby.
-Oscar-Schmidt acoustic/electric
-Oscar-Schimdt acoustic-Dad's.
-Yamaha Junior-My first guitar, had to keep it
-Epiphone Valve Junior
-Washburn WA20 acoustic amp
-Yamaha keyboard
-Some kind of alto sax, don't remember the brand name
-Upright piano, no idea on brand
-Yamaha digital drumset

When I pay off the Casino, I'll pick up an Orange Thunderverb 200. Then a Gibson LP Studio. Then I'm done, I promise

EDIT: Forgot the pedals:
-Ibanez SM7 distortion box-low end but sounds passable.
-Digitech RP300-older multiFX, still great.

OK, I'm drunk, I do not usually admit to having there things because I do not have adequate insurance, but -

Fenders - USA Strat, Mex Nashville Tele, USA Musicmaster bass, Gibsons - L5S, LP Custom, LP Studio, single cut LP Special, LP Deluxe (Cherry), LP Deluxe (gold), ES333, GGC700, USA Epi Olympic single, John Birch SG, DiMarzio Strat, Microfrets Signature, Paulman Tele, a couple of Charvels, a Yamaha Pacifica, Bacon and Day Senorita S6H, Martin D28, Taylor 510, Seagull Grande, Yairi classical, and a load of other things not worth mentioning.

Don't ask about the amps - this is just an "age" thing - you never stop buying gear, even when you realise you are not going to make that hit record!

Oh yeah - I'd better admit to the old Premier kit and the three Yamaha keyboards the in the shed, too, just to make those sections of the community feel less guilty. And the three clarinets, and the piccolo trumpet, the B&H pocket cornet. Should I mention the Dulcitone (scottish version of an accoustic Fender piano) and my harmonica collection - the tin whistles - the three Lachanal concertinas, the melodeon, and the Highland bagpipes? Better not, I suppose ...

HELP!

I took some current shots of one of my kits that has been designated the gig kit for now.

Played out last weekend and here's the stage and a few "gear" shots.

That's a lot of stuff to set up. What's with the Marshall "stack" in the left of one of the pictures. All kind of goodies.

Yes sir, we have a great sound tech and mic everything.

Club owners like us cuz they haven't had to tell us to turn down.

I did take a couple snap shots of the bass guitarist gear and the lead guitarist's also.

If you want me to post them then I can't be responsible for any new cases of GAS...

The bassist uses a Rick..... :P
