"It's all about stickin it to the man!"
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
We got almost the same thing. This is my '08 Honey Burst. I think the only difference is the "plus top", which makes it look rather weird I think. The deal I got was too good to pass up.

TRGuitar & rparker, I really dig that honey burst finish. I had looked at that finish on a Kramer once, but couldn't afford it at the time. I bet it sounds real sweet! Root beer knobs, yum!
Looking great guys! I too and a fan of the honey blonde, but I do like the plush top, for whatever reason.
In Space, no one can hear me sing!
The plus tops are very pretty. I think they cost about $70 more. A little more than what I wanted to spend although I could have done it. The excuse I had for being cheap though was a good one. The 2 they had in plus tops were cherry and amber.
Thunderfinger's Les Paul bass
My Kramer Standard Pro
Had there been a honey in a plus top I might be $70 (well, $63 with 10% discount) poorer cause I like them as well, but I'll keep my plain top.

Mine was total luck. It's what the guy was selling and I got it for a great price. I would have bought it for the price I paid if it was a Standard, Custom, LE, etc, etc. Some guy did the buy-and-never-learn-to-play thing. The sad part was that it was out of adjustment pretty bad. I got thinking later that had it been set up, he might have stuck with it. Oh well.

What do you play?
I started on an Esteban could not, for the life of me, play it so I got a little student sized classical squire (both of which I can't bring myself to get rid of :P ) Then upgraded to my Takamine (eg544c) and was given a Fender Strat by my dad, as well as his little peavy amp and his "Can" amp. I love my Tak the best, the Fender is a little heavy for my liking (but than again it IS electric so that's probably why)
So, What kind of "toys" does everyone have??

Dreaming about a new strat for my birthday next year.

You should post up the pic you had up when I bought the acoustic from you. :D

My SG, which I love, an Epi Casino which I also love, an OSW acoustic, a Washburn acoustic amp, an Epi Valve Junior combo, and some other stuff like drums and pianos and such.

What do you play?
I started on an Esteban.....
I have an Esteban acoustic that my wife bought me for Christmas in 2005. I couldn't do anything with it. I couldn't play anything obviously because I didn't know anything. I also couldn't learn much on it. I learned a good bit here and elsewhere back then about setup and action and such that I didn't know about before. After a few years of it sitting in the case, I pulled it out and worked on the action myself. Wifey bought me some garbage strings that were way heavy and tough to play, but things were tight back then with finances. Eventually I put some good strings on it (Earnie Ball Super Slinkys I think they are.) Now I can play it, and I think it plays rather nice and sounds rather nice for a cheapie guitar ($100 for a "play toy" as my wife called it wasn't cheap for me back then.)
I started learning chords, then some rhythm to some songs and enjoyed playing it. Then I started looking at barre chords. Tough stuff. I found an acoustic version of my 2nd favorite song which had a long solo intro, what I really am interested in over strumming rhythm stuff, and the rest of the song was all barre chords. I moved up the neck and started my hand at barres and eventually got it. Moved closer to the nut and got those. I was actually playing something and playing it in it's entirety.
This year, I got an electric for Christmas. Wifey was going to go cheap again and buy me the guitar at Target. She ended up going to a music store where they sold her a Cort G200 Strat copy. I still don't know much about guitars in general and have only ever played my 2 guitars, but I really like this thing. I'm having a blast with it and have learned more since Christmas than I did in 5 years with my acoustic.
It was up to me to get an amp after Christmas. Out of 4 of the shops I know about locally (locally meaning 40 minutes away) only one of them had any amps in stock, the same place Wifey bought the guitar. They had a Crate Flexwave 15R, and again not knowing anything about gear, I bought it.
I can't say I like it. It just doesn't sound good to me. If I am playing chords, they are quite muddy, but I don't know if that's the amp, the guitar, or me. On the distortion channel, there isn't much difference unless I crank the gain and volume, which I don't want to do at home ("turn that **** thing down!" screaming down the steps comes to mind.) On clean, it sounds OK, but isn't really the sound I am looking for. I couldn't listen to anything else as I couldn't find anything and only had online reviews to judge by. The fact that it was a 12 inch rather than 8 inch driver sounded like a good benefit to me. I have read that swapping out the driver for a better one can give a huge improvement, but again, I don't have much knowledge of gear.
Ok, so in summary I have an Estabahn $100 QVC special with hard case that I actually like quite well. Electrically I have a Cort G200 that I really like fed into a Crate Flexwave 15R that I'm not so fond of.
That and a computer full of tab, lessons, and bookmarks.
