i have a LTD Alexi 600 with a EMG hz pickup. I wanted to get a active pickup to replace the HZ. What would be a good replacement?

A typical pickup upgrade for that guitar is the Seymour Duncan "Blackout", specifically the AHB-1 bridge position pickup. I have never used blackouts, but they are regarded by many as the top choice for actives these days, especially with their "less hum, higher output".

Check some of the reviews/soundchecks on youtube on the blackouts. I have EMG's in my guitars, but if I had some extra dough to spend, I would spring for these. Awesome axe, by the way - I have looked at that guitar several times in the past, contemplating on a purchase.
