I bought an Epiphone AJ-500 used. It didn't come with a manual and I'm wondering how to change the battery. Most acoustic electrics I've seen have a battery hatch that is visible. This one doesn't and I'm afraid to start unscrewing screws.

Does the pre-amp look like this one?
if so, the battery cover should be the part with the "eSonic2" logo on it. It should just slide off towards the neck.

Thanks for the info. My preamp is actually different. I have an Elan 4TN Peramp. I found a pic that looks like I do, in fact need to take the cover off. I'll give it a try tonight and see what happens.
