Hello, this is my first post so bear with me.
I have a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster & noticed that my 2nd fret seemed to be work down where the g string is at. Everywhere else is fine , I have no dead notes anywhere besides the 2nd fret of the g string is at. I do have a nut that the slots are too cut (will be getting a replacement pretty soon & replace it myself), I simply fixed open strings buzzing by slipping tiny pieces of paper/cardboard under. It has only a slight buzz on the first few frets on all the strings so I know it's the nut that needs to be replaced. But there's a definite dead note on the 2nd fret of g string. Is there anything I can do besides getting a new nut to alleviate it?
