I have a Strat that has a solid rosewood neck with no lacquer finish. I'm wondering is oiling it necessary? Most necks I've seen are made of maple with a rosewood fret board with the maple having a lacquered finish. In that case It makes sense to oil the fret board only. When I oil my neck do I need to oil the whole neck? It's seems a bit excessive. What do y'all think?

Limited edition I assume? I wouldn't use anything other than Formby's lemon oil on it if anything. Yea, the whole neck, but sparingly I think. Formby's is all I've ever used on rosewood fingerboards for 40 years.

"Well, I hope the neighbors like THIS song!"
