similar question. Binding off of the ebony pick guard on an hand carved hollow body -- what's the glue of choice?

and you should always weld your strings to the tuning posts to stop them slipping................. 8)

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

I prefer brazing, especially on an acoustic. It matches the strings better. :D

Not to spit hairs but:
what is the best glue for a nut on a strat

What is the best glue to do what for the nut on a strat.

If you are mounting the nut to the neck, DO NOT USE SUPERGLUE. It will stick forever. And in a few years, when the nut wears out, or if it breaks, or whatever, you will never be able to get it out without damage.

If the nut itself is broken, though, superglue is just the thing- I've very recently busted the nut on a guitar. Super glue held so well I could even file it.

But do not ever use superglue on wood. Ever ever ever. standard wood glue (titebond) will hold tight if properly used, but can also be removed in the future...

Best,
Ande
