Its my first electric guitar I got on my birthday and it seems when I tried putting on like 13 gauge strings, it looks like the tuning pegs or the part on the headstock where the strings go in the holes and twist, are coming out, but are still very secure. Obviously im going back down to I think its 9 gauge strings but what should I do to fix this problem? For now I un-tuned my guitars down to slack because I dont want it tight right now.
(Was experimenting with higher gauge strings for low tunings btw)

Thanks!

When you say "the bits that twist" you mean the posts?
The post of the machine head attaches on the back to a cog and screw, of the machine heads Ive seen that have loose posts, many have just been a matter of twisting them back in.
If it is a fairly new guitar.. is it possible that it is under warranty? if so, dont try and do anything to the guitar, get it returned to the place of purchase.
Unless you guitar came with a warning about heavy gauge of strings (which Ive never seen), then there is no problem with putting 13 gauge, particularly if you are tuning down anyways.

Any chance you could post us a picture of the problem?
