I have a ibanez RG170DX
the current wiring is like this:
But i want to use both humbuckers at once, ive looked at wiring diagrams, and it uses a 5 way switch with 8 prongs, but i have absloutly no idea how they work.
is it possible to be able to have non splittable humbuckers and be able to use both at once without buying any new switches etc?
heres the wiring diagram, could i make the humbucker non splittable by joining the white and red?
After owning 3 Ibanezs and modifying 2 of em. Its safe so say that its not a very good idea to do that;) Shure youll get sweet sweet phatness and tone. But understand that those are INFs and you only need one.
It is possible that you can make tem non splitable but there are a few things you need to know. Risks actually! Too many of them to count. So I reccomend that if you still want to do it. Go get a profesional :shock:
